I'll admit there is probably some bias here, but the witcher 3 is no longer my favourite game. Cyberpunk is beautiful, I have had acceptable performance and very few bugs up to now but understand others are not so lucky, especially those on the base console versions, however, I dare say once bugs are ironed out and everyone has moved on a bit hardware wise, this game will be considered a masterpiece by many.
Bugs and performance will improve over time no doubt, but I'm more concerned about the reports of inconsistent story telling and pacing - I hope CDPR will also look at addressing that.
A lot of reviews are saying how buggy it is though. Despite being delayed a few have said it still appears rushed and incompleteQuote:

Graphics are great, it runs well on my system - I play at half way between high/ultra & ultra raytracing, DLSS balanced at 3440x1440 and i'm getting around 80fps, which is fine for a single player game.
I'm enjoying it and will be right back into the night city after lunch :)
I've only watched a few hours of gameplay, but the stories seem like something straight out of a tabletop RPG... which I believe is what this particular world of Cyberpunk actually began as, so that's perfectly in keeping with what this should be.Quote:

But I look at TW3 mods and there are only a few texture mods. So nothing which gives users of mods total freedom like it does with Bethesda stuff.
As for Cyberpunk, same some interesting lighting screenshots, but also surprised about some textures. Walls with a seamless single colour don't look realistic to me, for instance.
TES bugs were terrible around Daggerfall, pretty bad for Morrowind, but Oblivion and Skyrim weren't at all bad, certainly they seem to have been in better shape than CP2077. TES also gave you a full creation toolkit for trivially easy modding/new content.
And they were very much role playing environments - as above, the main storyline was often optional, you could pick a role and play out your character's life. CP2077 does not allow that, from what I can tell, with reviewers mentioning that while they tried to create a character for their V, the main quest forced them back a different way.
I have got to say character creation in Cyberpunk 2077 seems much more limited than Skyrim or Fallout 4 IMHO,especially if you add mods into the mix.
The thing is people kept saying The Witcher 3 was an RPG,for me it was more an open world action-adventure game with RPG elements. This is what Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be like IMHO.

Also,GOG Galaxy seemed fine for me so far. I didn't notice any outages myself.
Deus ex for me had a great vibe to it and is one of my favourite games so this sounds promising. I'd be happy with that performance, what's your PC specs?Quote:

Story is OK for now,nothing ground breaking. Game sticks to the main story more than i would like though. But it is OK. This is the first game in a years that had me playing it in 5hrs straight, so I assume I liked it.
There was one glitch, when I stuck in the game and could not move one. After restart, it worked well.
I got my copy through GOG and I can only recommend it (I have no affiliation with them).
100% goes to the studio. It is DRM free. And you can actually download the game to install it offline (or to have it as a backup if GOG is no more). You feel like you actually own it.
Never mind quest bugs in Daggerfal, there was the notorious bug where your character would fall through the floor. So when Bethesda announced that Terminator 2 game based on the same engined as 'ground-breaking', I immediately wondered. Played the demo of that T2 thing and sure enough, the ground-breaking bug was there too!Quote:

Have to say I like totally opened ended RPGs so being forced to play Geralt in the Witcher series didn't appeal. The last fixed character RPG I actually liked was Gothic I and Gothic II.
