People forget that the real winner of the 360/PS3 generation was the Wii, it comfortably outsold its rivals. Nintendo offers a very different experience from the other two but that doesn't mean its worse.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that the Switch is bad, or that it wouldn't sell well. Other than some exaggeration for effect anyway.
But, with Xbox one and PS4 both having been out years and basically coming to end of life. And PS5 and Xbox S/X unobtainable. The comparison of consoles sold as presented in the artical is really flawed.

I've managed to buy two this year, a few of my friends have them and I see them on a daily basis in customer's houses. There's a lot out there, but how do you even begin to come close to an adequate supply of consoles when half the planet wants one?
