Yeah, i am interested on how disparate these architectures are from Skylake/previous Core derivatives and whether they are actually resilient against the attacks rather than just "mitigated".

I just presumed they chopped them off so they can get more chips out of a wafer. I presume they will dust off a Xeon rebrand for the really top end, like they usually do.

The benchmarks they're quoting from aren't on the Performance Index site either. Only goes up to 10th gen on desktop.

They're so devious with their benchmarking and it was part of an FCC ruling against Intel that they had to be transparent with their benchmarking with the material they're putting out.

It hacks me off that the media and regulatory authorities are still letting Intel get away with it. To me that's why Intel still plays dishonest games because they know no one will follow them up.

Just hope that their pricing is competitive so i can get the best value processor and not have to sell my kidneys.

This will probably provide competition and will drive prices down to competitive levels unless there is a stock shortage etc which will in turn drive prices up...

Indeed, it isn't even covered under the events section, the only 11th Gen parts they have listed are the mobile vPro ones, which the benchmarks don't relate to. Not that I put any stock into the internal benchmarking Intel puts out there, balanced or comparable isn't in their playbook for marketing. Honestly the new generation wouldn't deter me from purchasing AMD if I was in an platform upgrade cycle.
