Re: Samsung launches the Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra smartphones
Feels very much a flat release this time around - nothing particularly new and exciting, more of a spec bump and minor evolution...very similar design, with a change some will love and some will hate, but that's about it really.
Similar story for Apple et al this year - nothing particularly exciting to show off. I'm pretty sure Samsung *could* have gone for an exciting release and finally fixed the notch issue - but they are likely waiting for the Z Fold 3 or maybe even the 2022 phones I guess to keep the premium features to their new top end phone range.

Ive got a S10 Plus with a Dual Sim which I find invaluable!
Looking to upgrade now but I cant tell if the new S21 Ultra has Dual Sim or not.
Some reviewers say yes it does, some say it doesnt.
I know you have to buy direct from Samsung for this model - the Phone companies wont stock it as they dont want you having a competing carrier alongside.
Dont suppose anyone knows for sure if its Dual Sim??

Samsung site says Nano + eSim, so it's only one physical simcard slot.
Re: Samsung launches the Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra smartphones
No thats not correct, from what I understand you can use 2 x nano sims or eSims
Vodafone etc as well as most major reviews list it as Dual Sim(Nano Sim). I believe there is an option for eSims however you should be able to use 2 x nano sims
Re: Samsung launches the Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra smartphones
Thanks everyone that replied - either physically sim slots or an eSim + 1 physical works!

I think the current phone format is reaching the pinnacle of what can be done with it and therefore revolution gives way to evolution at huge cost. The only really good thing for me about these is the variable refresh rate.
I suspec you're right and the folds are going to be the new high end (rather than extreme enthusiast only stuff). They are just getting them ready on early adopters and possibly doing things like notch removal on those models, leaving the "candy bar" style phones to stagnate, much as happened with older keypad phones.
