Call of Duty 2 ... first PC screenshots!

Activision and Infinity Ward are back in action with Call of Duty 2 an all new title which delivers an unparalleled portrayal of the chaos and intensity that was World War II.

The sequel to the award-winning Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2 is powered by a proprietary new engine featuring striking new visuals, advanced A.I. technology, the most realistic squad combat and explosive action in new historic campaigns. The title is scheduled for release this Autumn .

Call of Duty 2 lets players experience four individual soldier stories as they overcome insurmountable odds in multiple campaigns. Players have the freedom to follow each of the four storylines through for the ultimate character-driven experience, or they can engage in the historic battles chronologically for quick hitting action.

Are you guys winding me up, or are you honestly serious?
Those screenshots are not that impressive for such a huge game on the PC. A lack of detail on a lot of the textures, and most models seem to consist only of basic modelling primitives. Tanks look nice, but the buildings look rubbish.
The ground detail in the second pic is nice, will be interesting to see how it looks in game. Looks like bump-mapping. The ground in the others looks normal (as in, nothing impressive and ive not seen before).
With all the power our PC’s have today, im amazed that all you guys think its that impressive !

Kinda reminds me of Hidden and Dangerous 2...the look of the graphics. That was a beautiful looking game and frankly the best WW2 game. COD 1 got boring quick with the same old scripted stuff...I hope COD 2 is a step up on that aspect.
