ROG Strix without RGB doesn't sit right with me. I'm going to assume they're going to be like the samsung SSDs of fans. Expensive for what they are but, guaranteed to perform well.

Honestly looking at that it just sounds like a rebranded corsair ML series with a slightly lower max rpm and a different outer frame...

My thoughts exactly, as I have the non-Pro ML120s.
I reckon they'll be dead on par, rpm for rpm, and probably even made in the same factory.

These will have a ROG tax, though.

Suspect Corsair's exclusivity period with Sunon has expired.

Personally I'm happy to see maglev based fans from another company coming onto the market - I think up until now it has been Corsair or nothing. Not that I've got anything in particular against Corsair (I own quite a few of their 140mm ML fans) but more choice is good.

Guess I'm not the only one who thought that. Interesting that these are meant to run slower (250 vs 400) but also have a lower range (1800 vs 2400). Static pressure seems to be fairly on par if going by max RPM. Dread to think how much Asus will charge above the Corsair version though.

You do realise that Asus is an abbreviation of Asus pect price premium.

Back of envelope math... you're right! That can't be right? 400000 hours?

Re: Asus ROG Strix PC case fans scheduled for April release

My first thought was why would I care about an Asus fan, but then I saw maglev.

Considering that I was just debating whether to replace my starting-to-get-noisy case fans with Corsair ML or Noctua, these are another interesting option. Quiet and non-RGB would fit in perfectly, too.

I'd been leaning towards two Corsairs (in the twin pack) and a Noctua, but I might have to switch that to trade one Corsair for one of these, just so I can see which one is working best in 2066.

They're not a god-awful combination of beige and brown so they're not for me.
