I hope it's fixed soon since I'm about to build a Ryzen 5800X system.

Not really noticed this with my Asrock Phantom Gaming X but thinking back, I do remember hearing one of my external devices doing the bonk disconnect/connect but I just thought nothing of it as its never happened when I've been actively using it.

But it's good they're being quite pro-active with the investigation.

Have they addressed the various problems with the Realtek RTL8125 2.5GbE LAN??

I get this on my x570 tomahawk. Devices disconnecting, sometimes mouse and keyboard not recognised. I thought I was going mad.

I thought it was the Intel LAN that was bokred That's what nudged me towards a GB board over Asus :V

Well if we have to talk about this, then i have also had my X399 board be fishy some times.
It is only a couple of days ago since my PC coughed up the new hardware sound, but no notification or anything about what happened just the sound.

I cant say i have experienced the USB ports not working, and i have used quite a few of the 10 ports it have.

I was considering getting a Gigabyte B550I mini-ITX motherboard to replace my Asus B450I Strix, but reading some of the Amazon reviews put me off. The B450I has an Intel GbE LAN which so far seems solid enough!

Re: AMD works with Reddit community on 500 series chipset USB issues

Not experienced this on my x570-Plus Asus TUF board. It never seems particular happy with USB peripheral's when I move over my USB hub from my work PC however this is usually fixed by a quick power down of the hub and occasional disconnect of the mouse. My intel work machine has fewer issues with this but I figured that's more down to the peripheral's themselves than the chipset as they all behave a little differently. Its the logitech mouse that hates it the most and almost always needs pulling and reconnecting. Most of the rest just need the usb hub switched off and on.

I've got two x570 machines and there is a device on each (android phone & mic array) that keeps disconnecting. I just assumed it was because of using longer possibly poor quality cables.

Don't have any problems with MSI B450 tomahawk plus...But was going to go for the B550 version (for the front panel USB C connector, and better rgb implementation) Glad i didn't now, until they fix these issues. Will probably wait for AM5 now anyway.

I've still got a z77 and a 3570K. I keep getting random USB disconnects that didn't previously happen. Methinks it's a Windows Feature release related problem.

Same, I'd been having issues for a while on a z77 + 3770k, USB disconnects randomly, I've had it happen a couple of times on my new system too b550 + 5800x, it could be a Windows "Feature"

no issues with x570 and win7, nor noticed any on win10 1809 with old early 2020 bios I'm rebuilding with new GPU so will see how that fares and compare 7/10 with more modern drivers

The fix is an intel nic. I doubt that will ever get fixed. It's been a fairly consistent problem with realtek since forever.
