Microsoft: Please let us transfer the games we have on Bethesda Launcher to the Xbox Game App so I can get rid of a game launcher. Thanks.

Ermmm.... hate to remind you, but THIS has always been the case. If anyone remember the release of Skyrim on PS3... this will bring back memories. It was atrocious, I had Skyrim on 360 and PS3 later on, and the PS3 version was not fun to play! Here's a reminder: https://www.ign.com/wikis/the-elder-...ation_3_Issues

If FO76 is one of those games, you can link your bethesda account to steam and it'll be added to your library after a little while.

I've never liked it when big companies do this. They'll drain it of any creative talent so it'll be Todd and a few dozen mindless drones churning out mediocre garbage every few years.

I was hoping a new Elder Scrolls game would be due soon but now that MS is in charge they'll probably turn it into a battle royale game.. its been about 5 years since everyone else did them.

I don't know, some of the studios they've acquired have continued to produce great games since - Playground Games and Obsidian for example.

Re: Microsoft completes ZeniMax Media acquisition

Most things turn to garbage under Microsoft but the important thing is not everything which is more than can be said for EA and Activision for example. So yeah I probably trust them a tiny bit more when it comes to acquiring studios than the other juggernauts.

Re: Microsoft completes ZeniMax Media acquisition

Microsoft have been doing a good job with recent gaming acquisitions. They tend to be fairly hands off. Its google who have really screwed it up (Just look at the studios they shutdown because of recent stadia changes).

Personally looking forward to more good games coming to game pass (and many more years of buying it cheap via gold + vpn ).

Re: Microsoft completes ZeniMax Media acquisition

Mostly these days I'm meh about news like this. A lot of smaller companies are getting gobbled up by larger ones, especially recently. As long as they make games I'll play, guess it's better than the smaller company going completely out of business.

I'm currently enjoying a Blue Byte game... a company bought by Ubisoft many a moons ago, and a name phased out completely by 2020.
I know them from The Settlers III days from 1998! Anno 1800 is fantastic, and so relaxing to play!

I might get the titles I want off gog.com, just in case Microsoft withdraw the Bethesda titles to flesh out their games inventory on Xbox Game Pass/XCloud.

Re: Microsoft completes ZeniMax Media acquisition

This is excellent news. Saying MS will "drain creative talent" or "turn the games to garbage" is utter nonsense. Bethesda and Xbox have had a close relationship for 20 years, and this will only fuel a better creative environment and ultimately be better for gamers. Bring it on.
