I played with RT on and it was just fine. 5900x, 3090 Suprim, 32gb ram.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.2 arrives with over 500 fixes

I saw videos of this patch and I must say, it's awful. How is that a game that has been in development for so long have worse AI than GTA 3? They still can't do police chases, or handle the NPCs populating in the world. NPCs, on death, just "sink" into the floor and disappear. Cars spawn and despawn behind you. This game is an unmitigated disaster.

Now CDPR wants to handle multiple projects simultaneously. It's like they are gluttons for punishment at this point.

Time will tell. I'm waiting to pick this up until it's in a better state, but it seems some people are still able to have an enjoyable experience. Looking back over some of my favourite games in the past many of them were considered buggy messes - Ultima VII, TES: Daggerfall, Vampire: The Masquerade etc. All absolutely terrible from a polish perspective, yet all pop up in lists of fondly remembered/influential games. Maybe CDPR are accidentally trying to get into that club?

    28.8GB on the Steam version.
Took me 18 minutes to update, because Steam servers were obviously swamped.

Same here. I'm waiting until it's fixed, it's cheap and I have upgraded my hardware to make the best of it.

Maybe a few years, then. I'm quite tired of new titles being broken with broken DRM. I can wait.

That's probably the full game though, not just the patch... unless you've missed previous patches and it was downloading all the updates.

What do you mean by "just fine"?! what resulution and what FPS min / max / avg did you get?

not everyone is "fine" playing in 1080p in 30fps

Mine is a different system but from what I've played of it @2K res with all the eye candy turned on (including RTX) I'm getting 144fps (it's where I cap my frame rate). However I'll add to this, I've hardly played it, so haven't hit anything even remotely demanding yet. I'm literally about 5-10 minutes into the game as I've been busy doing other stuff lately.
