Was hoping to see my Hellhound edition listed here too, looks to only be for Red Devils!

so a bit of driver manipulation maybe to get higher power for regular cards ?

The bin is the best place for RNDA2. Fingers crossed we get some decent RT with RDNA3.

Depends if you care about RT for the time being. Myself, it's not a consideration. If I were purchasing now, it would tip the scales if all other aspects were equal but I still want another generation (from Nvidia, maybe needs two generations from AMD) before I'll consider it mature and relevant enough to be so dominant in a purchasing decision. Also we've seen some impressive software RT so who knows where that goes (probably nowhere given nvidia's muscle).

I think it's all down to the individual and what you notice / value in a game. Myself, I'm quite happy playing older games with meh graphics because the gameplay is there. Some people value graphical quality, some FPS, some sound and some just like pretty RGB everywhere. It's all personal.

I think Ampere ATM has a better balance of features, performance and RRP than the AMD equivalents. AMD has more VRAM and better performance/watt. As a result neither of the ranges seem to hit what I wanted especially with their RRPs(let alone the streetprice).

I couldn't give a darn about Ray Tracing, or 4k frame rates.... all I want is a megga card that will run 1080/ 1440 decent frame rates and be nice and cheap and most of all
    Available to actually buy

It's not unreasonable. Myself, I got a 4K monitor but the plan is quite simply to drop the resolution to 1080P in any games where 4K struggles. As long as you don't mind the difference, the life of a given GPU is extended immensely. RT is for the rich.

I think GPUs are for the rich these days.

But then I just dropped £450 on car tyres, so I suppose all things considered...
