Weird how the 48" doesn't have HDR stats. I assume it's the LG 48" OLED panel I think they're the only ones putting em out atm.

So basically a 120hz+ refresh rate tv without the tv tuner in a 'gamer' case....which I'm sure they'll be priced accordingly.

A Pro Gaming Monitor would be much smaller, to be able to grasp a bigger field in a smaller frame.

..That 32in model is going to sell like the proverbial hot cakes, assuming they keep the price below £1K

Good luck getting one within 6mths of launch day.

32in, 4K, 144Hz & HDR was the absolute dream monitor for me just 2yrs ago.

Can't see it being below £900, the 2K version was (or still is) around the £700 odd mark. At that price point you can start looking at some ultrawide monitors as well, just not with HDMI 2.1 which solves some issues with bandwidth / 8-bit or 10-bit colour options.

Re: Gigabyte Aorus intros 4K tactical gaming monitors

I think 32 inch is well for gaming, but I'm not sure about 43 inch and 48 inch. I agree that monitor should be smaller, it would be better for pro gaming monitor. But all depends on wishes of gamer and game which you will play. I'd prefer 27 inch monitor.

Because it doesn't mount to your MOLLE vest with PALS?
Because it doesn't have a crenellated 'glassbreaker' bezel?
Because it doesn't have MagPul™ accessories on a Picatinny rail?
Because it doesn't have any of the features usually seen on actual 'tactical' products..... heck, it doesn't even come in Crye™ Multicam™.

IDK what any of those are TBH.

Maybe the monitor could be used as body armour or something.

Re: Gigabyte Aorus intros 4K tactical gaming monitors

I don't know what makes the monitor 'tactical' either... but in the case above, it's just features frequently found on products marketed as 'tactical', to somehow imply that they're used by men who wear all black and abseil down embassy buildings to rescue hostages.

Torches, guns, camouflage clothing, rucksacks... Think of a COD or Battlefield character's outfit, or maybe the mail-order stuff bought by a lot of Airsofters. That stuff. Never really used by actual soldiers and police, just bought by the wannabes.

In both that world, and the gaming one, tactical is just being used as a marketing buzzword.
