Passive CPU cooler works best in case that has lots of fans...You will need to be installing in a well vented PC case, an open benchtable-type setup or a PC case with fans in order to achieve the full performance of this cooler.
I would prefer the warranty to be much longer than 6 years considering there are no moving parts (for comparison the Arctic Liquid Freezer II has a 6 year warranty, and clearly has significantly more potential for failure).
Pricey metal. I wonder what will happen after 6 years with it, definetly will not stop working.
Another site has mentioned weight at 3.3lbs/1.5Kg?
(Was a meaningless comment. Would delete it if I could.)

Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Another passive branded cooler system. Active one is more effective!
I still think they should have just used standard thickness fins and stuck a block of aluminium on top of the coldplate (between the heatpipes and the fins). That way you still have thermal mass with a high conductivity path to the hot bit, but it's a lot simpler to manufacture and has the CoG closer to the MB so less torque on the socket. My silverstone AR-01 (i.e. comparable to a hyper 212) happily cooled my 3700X passively, albeit in a very well ventilated case.
Arctic also sell a passive cooler, but it's a lot simpler (it's just a solid block of extruded aluminium). It also has a 6 year warranty
The Noctua NH-P1 has now officially launched at US$110.
Check out the 'How to build a passive PC with the Noctua NH-P1' video below.
Very interesting video.
I wont mind trying to build a passive computer, if or whenever prices and components become more reasonable and accessible.
