Yep, WiFi+Bluetooth x1 card.
Yep, WiFi+Bluetooth x1 card.
Used to. Had USB ports, soundcards and all sorts. Once even had a second smaller GPU that was dedicated to Phys-X.
Don't need to any more, though. I just fill the empty space with cosmetic & aesthetic gubbins!

Yes I have an NVME adapter in one for my OS drive (my onboard NVME is taken up by a much faster drive).
4x usb 3.0 card in one machine although tbh I could probably lose that if I really tried to consolidate and/or go wireless etc.
In addition to the primary 16x for my gpu I have a Sounblaster Z in a 1x slot.
How can you mine with only one slot?
Only kidding, I have a USB 3.1 card in one of the x1 slots. Keep being tempted by a 10GbE or 25GbE network card in the other x16 but not cracked yet.
Most things seem to be USB these days though rather than a card.
I use a separate sound card. I really wish I hadn't bought it as, at £300, it's the only thing stopping me from moving to Linux. I do love the sound quality that comes out of the thing but Creative won't make any Linux drivers and won't even loan sample cards out to Linux devs for them to make drivers. Some of this generation have got Linux drivers due to people lending cards to a stranger over the internet in order to get a driver out of it, but for some reason no one was willing to lend them the top of the range one.
Very, VERY frustrating and I've been buying high-end Creative sound cards since the AWE32. This may be the last one I buy. All they have to do is loan a card to someone. And it's not as if they didn't allocate a load of cards for press samples and technical stuff. But no, no support and after thousands spent on their kit, it's very annoying.
I didn't think Windows was going to get quite so intolerable when I bought this card.
EDIT - off topic rant.
Yes I use more than the one.
waaaaaat ? old DFI board min the pic :-)
But no i just use the 1 of several pci ports.
Two of my PCs are using x1 slots for 4-port sata controllers
10G & 40G network cards, M.2 adapters maybe some SAS controllers soon
I have a Chinese HDMI capture card that ignores all copy protection

I use the Primary x16 slot of my x570 for a HPE p822 sas card (£20 off ebay and good for 28 sas/sata drives without expanders ) and have 8 sas slc ssd's in raid0 on it for games as it's as fast (faster if I get more drives) as nvme.
Have my geforce 1070 in the second x16 slot (4x electrical) and there's no performance penalty there,
Have an nvme ssd in the primary nvme slot just for the OS and converted the second nvme slot into a pcie 4x that I have a pcie sas-ssd scratch drive running on that for swapfile, tempfiles etc to reduce wear on the primary nvme.
Right now? No. Previously? Yes. On a machine I just replaced, I had a USB 3 card in a x1 slot. On this PC I had my 2080ti in the x8 slot until I replaced my Nofan CR95. On this PC's predecessor I had two Titan X cards in SLI.
Uses a second for pci-e nvme adaptor
A Creative sound card (on a riser to maximize airflow to the GPU) largely due to it seems to be to only way to get 5.1 out of my machine (old speakers though so no optical but good quality sound).
