WIFI 6 card as the Mobo doesn't support it
Bit late to the party, but the answer is "of course". Using a slot for my sound card. Wouldn't want a PC without one.
Not since I dropped having a separate sound card - No value in one when using decent wireless headset (USB dongle). My son sleeps in room above so no speakers either now!
Have 2 NVMe slots so little need there either and backup to the cloud so no need for extra/faster USB.
Nope (main PC is a Hades Canyon NUC with a eGPU enclosure!)
PCI-E x1 Sound card
Yes. i9-10980XE with full complement of X299 PCIe lanes. GPU, 4 X PCIe 3.0 4x M.2 card, Elgato 4K capture card and an older XtremeDVI capture card. Also another M.2 card in the mainboard slot.
Yes, one PCIe x1 for SATA card with 2xSATA3 (6 Gbit/s) ports.
Nope, only card is the GPU.
Current build just uses PCIe for graphics card. I bought a micro-ATX mobo, as didn't need anything too fancy.
Previous had firewire (analogue video tape conversion) and a USB3 upgrade card.
Used to have a sound card in but the new boards the onboard sound setup is good enough so no
Yes, I have a SATA card that provides 2 internal ports since my old mobo only had 4 sata and I needed more. Cheap and just works, I also have a sound card I may put in again at some point.

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
