Re: Windows 10 version 21H1 available, roll out begins
Binning Win10X is an obvious one to me, just add things to the 'Optional Features' and add/remove as required..
All they need is 2 version, Windows 10 x86(32/64) and then the ARM version, versions can be chosen on install and changed with licence keys/subscriptions..
Re: Windows 10 version 21H1 available, roll out begins
I can't wait to find out what new and interesting bugs they have introduced and how they've made it harder to fix by changing things around and hiding "advanced" features.
I'm in a foul mood but, the last update took me a few days to stumble inconveniently on what they'd broken and took 30 minutes to fix. At least they haven't made it not boot and made it impossible to access safe mode until you can boot.... again.
Re: Windows 10 version 21H1 available, roll out begins
I got the update today, nothing of note to report
Re: Windows 10 version 21H1 available, roll out begins
They only just delivered 20H2 to me (last week I think!) I guess I have some compatibility flags.

I'm still on 1909, I really should get round to updating it now but been holding off until I do a reinstall lol... I've set everything to the max delays possible to limit any issues that might pop up from dodgy updates.
Re: Windows 10 version 21H1 available, roll out begins
Well I've downloaded it to my work laptop, should be fun, hope it doesn't break anything as out on Friday..
Going to reboot now, wish me luck....

For me when I checked for updates it says no updates available but a little section under that said something like update to 21H1 or something
Re: Windows 10 version 21H1 available, roll out begins
Ok, so installed, reboot took about a minute longer as it was doing stuff, now back, painless, cant tell any difference, just done another update check and nothing, so its done, but what, I dunno..

You'll find out at the least convenient moment.

Ha yeah, well as long as something happens tomorrow and not while I'm trying to reprogram stuff at the event I'll cope...

Gonna guess that small explosion on the news was the update making itself known at your "event".

Just had to reinstall graphics card drivers. Got off lightly this time.

Just realised my desktop is still on 1909. Probably about time I caught up a few releases.
