FON Gramofon (Wi-Fi Spotify streamer) for music in the bedroom and nothing more. No assinine assistants. No streaming platform on the TV either - it's basically a big 4K screen.
I dislike the idea behind smart/IoT devices. I guess I worked in security for too long.

uh that is easy, Pc and my phone. and router obviously.

too many to bother counting. almost all my lights are, bar the bathroom. i'm all into the world of the future we were supposed to have in the year 1999 along with all white outfits. so being able to turn things on/off or change colour or dim by voice or remote or app is great. haven't yet got a wifi kettle but no doubt it won't be long

to be fair, you usually spend more time faffing about setting it up and resetting it when something changes, than any time benefitss, but being able to sit on the sofo watching a movie and turning heat up/down/on/off or likewise in bed on a cold morning/night, or turn the fan on/off and lights dim or go on etc is nice and impresses gusts. it's also fun to watch girls try and turn things on and off that aren't voice enabled, or alexa not understanding what they are saying

i don't trust the voice stuff enough to choose what tv show i want to watch, or movie, it's usually easier just using the remote

Well, when I lived on my own, pretty much four... a desktop, two laptops, and a phone. Five if you count the modem. The smart bulbs were configured to only be on the intranet, and thus not on the web.

But now that I've moved and have flatmates, it's a few more, as they're more into that connected-anywhere stuff than I am. I probably couldn't give an accurate count since while I know some of the connected devices, they probably have other ones I'm not aware of.

I don't see much advantage to web connections for most things. Slightly more for intranet-connected, but even then, I wouldn't pay extra for an intraconnect-connected toaster.

I was about to say too many devices, then I tried counting them and there are only 2 at the moment... a phone and a laptop.

My unused device purge last year seems to have paid off!

I have a bath with bluetooth and a shower that is on the wifi. It's the number of bluetooth devices that i'm more amazed at than wifi - the bath, about 30 hue bulbs, the bathroom mirror, my toothbrush, amps, TVs, printer, headphones, my car, slow cooker, kettle, thermostat, my firewall and switch (Ubiquiti). I have a lot of connected devices.

Only five items host web servers (two routers, two switches, and a server), but I have many more devices on my LAN and wifi and I rather think it is the latter that interests you. And that number is in the teens.
