The HDMI input is a thoughtful addition... if only Samsung and Apple would follow suit - as their tablets have such great screens that could serve a multitude of other uses if they had HDMI and/or DP inputs.
I sometimes use the 'Duet' app to link an iPadOS device up as an extra screen for my Windows 10 PCs. It's pretty solid - but there's definitely a few compromises in play that you have to be prepared to live with.

I can see travelling business users who take a tablet and laptop with them using this to construct a workstation type set up on the fly.

What a weird resolution for a monitor, though. I'd almost suggest using it in portrait mode, but it looks like the kickstand doesn't support that.

Using a display like this over usb is very very easy
