Some look quite decent, a nice location with underground parking etc. Many offices seem dire for parking when packing desks in as an office, but should be more than enough for residential.
One office around here has turned into a big job centre.
I found I hated working from home long term, so I quit my job a couple months ago when they didn't have any return-to-office plans, even for the fully vaccinated. I need to be around people to maintain my mental health. So far being intentionally unemployed has been great, and all that money I saved up last year is being put to good use.
Gear-wise, I do have a good home office setup - I just want to use it for things like travel planning, side projects, and gaming and keep the real work in the office with other people.

Not at all, but I am following what happens to all our old offices and works. One of them is now a housing estate, with 'Island' in the title because they ignored our strongly worded advice and built directly atop a flood plain!
Besides, even with any changes in the last two years, I don't see how you can 'recycle' a water or sewage treatment plant into a nice family-friendly housing area, due to the chemicals and processes involved. You pretty much have to knock it down, deep-cleanse the area and then develop.
