So with the move to Apple sillycone, does that mean they're going to change from the cheese grater design? Perhaps a lemon juicer? Or even a George Foreman Grill? Now that'd be epic.
They could charge $1000 for the fat tray this time.

ALL the multi-chip RDNA3 leaks is starting to show its face (Infinity fabric link). RISKY to be closed into the Apple ecosystem, what if they jump ship and an organization has invested millions on their expensive software stack? Apple is more a home based platform, Hollywood can't risk in the name of video editing.

What makes you think that RDNA3 is locked into providing only to Apple customers?
If I were AMD, I think continuing to offer high end products to people who pay silly prices (& help to buff up the PR view that RDNA3 is a quality product for buyers with deep pockets) is just a good place to start.
Not that this duo product appears to *be* RDNA3, as it looks like the duo part is just 2 RDNA2 chips.
What I find most interesting is that, a; some apps still clearly can't fully utilize both GPUs - only Optane X from Apple's testing scaled well, which means that the boost is still similar to SLI or Crossfire, not the dream - and b; the price of the 6900X appears to be higher than the price of the 6800X duo, despite packing less processing power.

I was refereeing to a big customer who is thinking of buying Apple products for the long term. AMD can sell their GPUs to the Iranian government, no problem with making money unless they are used in designing nuclear weapons.
