There's a lot that goes into this, though - Solid roleplay/cosplay, with quite a few theme park rides and full immersion entertainment, for all ages, directed and chaperoned by a large contingent of costumed staff, all done so people of all ages and levels of mental acuity follow directions and don't break or spoil anything... for up to 48 solid hours?

Yeah, that is a pretty big ask and bound to cost quite a bit. Not sure it quite justifies £2,400 per person... but then a single night in the Royal Suite at The Goring will cost £8,000 and you don't even get to swing lightsabres around.
Don't even ask about the Mandarin Oriental!!

I reckon they are looking at a few factors - hype it enough that early adopters will pay to be first, the hardcore element of the fan base who spend a fortune on props, etc, that people potentially have money saved from not being able to go on a couple of annual holidays (not so much if you lost your job, but Disney don't care about those people) and feeling they deserve a "treat" after being stuck inside for so long.

So they go and get stuck inside a mock spaceship from which there is no escape.

Looks more Battlestar Galactica than Star Trek to me, but either way it's not the Star Wars font which is just odd.
