Probably the best Star Wars story outside of the original trilogy.

I wonder if it will stay that way with the remake, they've assigned a notorious woke militant who worships Disney SW to rewrite the story of the game to "modernize" it.
Individual in question is also married to a current senior bioware producer so a helping of cronyism on top, hopefully they keep her out of the games main storyline rewrite.

One of the most popular Star Wars games of all time. But how long do I wait to get to play it on my PS?
Re: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Remake announced
Darn exclusivity deals, so bad for consumers....
I might one day actually get around to playing this flippin' game. Mates have been on at me to try it for ages.

The original still works and the community patches tidy it up a bit. No time like the present...

Not only that. They have also been quoted not liking KOTOR and disliking the male SW fanbase(which is probably like 95%). I wish they would keep that activism/hate crap out of my video games.

I didn't realise they were deleting all the old versions.
Seriously isn't it a bit early to judge the success or failure of it based on a couple of tweets from a single person involved in the project?

I agree but its not a good sign

Please take the anti-woke agenda elsewhere.
You know all these culture wars are just a distraction so you don't complain about billionaires paying less tax than you do. (I'd say the same to the 'woke' agenda as its the same thing on the other side of the coin except I never hear that side moaning on this forum.)
Edit: If this stuff bothers you so much just don't buy/consume it. If you are so correct in your opinions it won't sell well?

I'd say concerns are valid. Woke politics tends to promote hostility, change and erase media, and mislead. As with all games, imo it's best to take a wait and see approach. It's help with any bugs getting ironed out anyway. You say that you don't see it much here, but from most of the more mainstream sites it seems to have taken over and tries to invalidate any opinion that has any concerns, often with personal attacks. Unfortunately a lot of sites seem to want to make politics the forefront for the clicks, yet seem to promote division and the inability to see someone else's perspective. Moderators on those kind of sites also seem to turn a blind eye to aggressive comments that are in support of their beliefs and more concerned about people having the "wrong" opinions.

More like no time at the present.... Between the younger members of the family, work, and the same friends also insisting I play a couple dozen other time-consuming games, it just hasn't happened.
I even own KOTOR and everything, I just don't get around to it.
Re: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Remake announced
I'm a little disappointed by news of another remake instead of telling a new story, but I guess there is probably a generation who've missed out so this is for them. The article says the story is the true to the original so I'm not sure where all the concern about changes is coming from. If there was something discriminatory or un-inclusive in the original then probably a good thing to change it, but I don't remember anything major (which I probably wouldn't, not being a minority! Presumably they just need to open up visual/romance choices), bioware are normally pretty good in the first place.

I for one will be so happy when/if they get this off-the-ground.... Can't wait for this !
