Re: Microsoft imagines Xbox 2042 with 1 exaFLOP processor

""native 32K resolutions in Full Spectrum Colour at a base frame rate of 240 FPS (up to 480 FPS)"

People of 2042 will probably just be complaining that it can't do 64K @ 360fps...

Yeah, it's rubbish, the SonyTendo PlayWii 26 is far superior for 64K performance.

Nearly eight hours without a single mention of Crysis. I am disappointed.

The look at us and give us funding please Satya Nadella (and board) type. To get long term R&D funding you need to have a target you are aiming for you can sell to the board. Otherwise your R&D gets cut to maintenance only. This is just being throw to us plebs as its free advertising as the video is already done.

Re: Microsoft imagines Xbox 2042 with 1 exaFLOP processor

I can't see the traditional console still being made at the end of this decade let alone 2042. The uptake in online game streaming services was rife during lockdown as the parts shortage took hold. You'll be able to just stream from your TV over the next couple of years. Then it's just a gradual transition.

Microsoft have the largest valuation of any company right now - beating even Apple. Will Microsoft as we know it exist in 2042 - probably not but at worst it will become like IBM with its hands in many pies so it never runs out of customers.

Re: Microsoft imagines Xbox 2042 with 1 exaFLOP processor

As you said in total there will be seven maps, as well as 10 specialists, and multiple game modes, I must say the gamers of the 2042 era will enjoy much more with great graphics since until then the graphics will be on a high notch.
