Symantec launches anti-spyware beta

It took the AV firms long enough, but they're all jumping on the anti-spyware bandwagon now. Personally, I'll stick with Spybot S&D and AVG Antivirus.

Symantec has launched the beta test version of its anti-spyware application, which will be sold from June as part of its Norton Internet Security 2005 application.

Symantec has in the past faced heavy criticism for security vulnerabilities and usability issues with its Internet security products, especially those applications targeted at the consumer and small business market.

Nope. Not interested in whether it's "good". What concerns me more is whether it's better than Spybot/Adaware. If it is, then I might bother installing it, but Spybot does the job for me right now.

Well I say its good because it has found stuff on my computer that the others did not pick up. Maybe that makes it better.

I use all three.
