Where did you find it has 700 odd meg of DDR as well as system memory?
It has 512mb of main memory, running at 700mhz.... and 10mb of graphics memory, I wouldnt be suprised if the main memory and the graphics was shared out of that 512mb really, but if it only has a 10mb graphics card, umm, weird ! Somethings up

The original xbox had zero video memory. A consoles topology is rather different than that of a PC - it dosn''t need vast amounts of video memory. That said the things are becoming more and more PC-like. I don't get the fuss and the hype at all. Give my a device that uses hard media for everything and also sets the timer on my oven and controls the whole house.
Ive just read the 512mb is shared between system and graphics, the 10mb is a graphics cache, sort of like l2/3 cache on a cpu, superfast for swapping stuff fast, theyll use this to help out the vertex and pixel shaders, apprently newer graphics cards from ATi and vidia will also have cache added on them soon, well, 6 to 12 months
