Hmm that is a scary thought...getting my brain patterns saved on to a machine is freaky...I guess I would collect all other brain patterns merge them together and redownload them and become the smartest person in the world!
But what if you absorbed a stupid person's brain? Wouldn't that have an adverse effect?

I would imagine it's more a copy than a move.
Does this mean that eventually people won't have to go to school as we will all upload the main things we need to know.
Then when we want to do a degree we will have to pay for the file to be uploaded :p

Actually, that's kinds scary. Where would you stand legally on data protection? What would stop people reading what's on there, all your memories, all your personal data you know etc? Can you imagine if you done something really naughty as a kid/youth and never told anyone, would they be able to find out? Could it be used to incriminate you? Would the need for a Jury be scrapped? Just get them in court, d/l their brain and search for criminal activites. Self dealt justice if you like!
Now, uploading to the brain is another story. That 'could' be great, but could also be crap. Can you imagine, never having to go to school? What would kids do from the age of ~5 to ~16? No more college or Uni, no more student debts, just work. Lots and lots of work. And since you'll ALL be as brainy as they next person, you'll all get paid a basic salary and could do whatever job you liked, within reason. Again, rather scary.
Though saying that, if kids had the intellignce of an adult at the age of 10, would they smoke, drink and have sex as much as they do? I doubt it. They'd use the youthfull years to their best opportunity (as we all wish we did if we're honest).
Agh, too much to think about! My brain has now melted and I'm off to go upload a new one.
I think that possibly a Ghost In The Shell ghost hacking event may become a possibilty at this rate.
Could be interesting - and imagine the direction l33t speak could take!
