Last month we brought you a review of the ST20G5 from Shuttle. It's time for Hardocp to give their opinion of it.
As far as issues go, there are a few areas of concern. The first is related to the drivers. For the life of me, I could not get the ATI provided drivers to install on the system. Furthermore, I could not get the OS itself to boot without using a WinXP installation with integrated SP2. With only WinXP SP1 installed on the system, I ran into severe stability and resource related issues. The other issue that caused issues for me was the IDE DMA transfer access setting within the On-Chip IDE Setting submenu in the BIOS. With this options enabled, the system would lock up during Windows startup.
Looks like they ran into more problems than we did, although we had stability issues with NVIDIA graphics cards.
