Got Firefox? Miss 10% of the UK web

SciVisum took 100 UK company websites, and tested them in Firefox. 10 of them didn't work properly.
Deri Jones, SciVisum's CEO warns that companies are in danger of damaging their brands by not addressing accessibility issues properly. "When webmasters design first for Internet Explorer and not standards-compliant browsers, they so often end up restricting user access to the website which has detrimental affects for a company," he said.

He went on to describe it as surprising that companies still fail to accommodate a variety of browsers, and warns that taking a non-standard approach limits a website's audience, and risks alienating some users.
    Oh dear.

from what I've seen the attitude seems to be 95%+ use IE, which works, and stuff the rest..

I think it's bad that people are designing their sites around a specific browser, rather than a web standard. This isn't just about the Firefox/IE battle either. What about Mac users? Yes, you can get IE for Mac (in fact it plays nicer with PNG alpha channels than IE for PC does,) but there's Safari too.

Asus support has gone downhill for quite a while.

I can't even flash my BIOS at all, al the BIOSes refuse to work.

I have found that websites don't seem to make too much of a difference any more.

I have completely removed IE from my system, even hotmail runs better :s

msn spaces is seriously crippled in firefox (you can't create a new photo album for example). freeipods.com doesn't work properly in firefox.

surely firefox could address some of these issues themselves though? (i know they shouldn't have to, but it might mean more people use it)
