Digi Times reports that its sources have indicated Saumsung to have raised its quote on 512Mbit DDR memory from US$5.2 in May to US$5.5 in June.

DRAM distributors for Samsung confirmed that demand is expected to pick up next month, as Samsung’s clients will finish their inventory accounting by the end of this month and the traditional hot season will commence next month.

It looks like they were right, then! Orders are expected to rise by up to 30% next month, according to Digi Times' sources, so prices for consumers is likely to be going up at some point.
