Kids with illnesses can recover quicker, or feel less discomfort, thanks to computer games.Nothing like a bit of deathmatch to get kids back on their feet! Sky News has the full story.Mark Griffiths, professor of gambling studies at Nottingham Trent University, said: "Video gaming is safe for most players and can be useful in healthcare."
He cites examples of video games being used to treat specific physical conditions, including an eight-year-old boy whose illness caused him to pick his lip, causing scarring.
After repeated failed attempts to get him to stop, he was given a hand-held video game to keep his hands busy and two weeks later the affected area had healed.
