    Your toy for the weekend...

    Good old Google have something new for us to play with, so if you're bored this weekend, broaden your mind with Google Scholar.
    Google Scholar enables you to search specifically for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Use Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web.
    There's also a new Google Maps Hybrid Mode which overlays roads onto satellite imagery, so that's two new things to play with, courtesy of Google.

    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Google Scholar! That has got the to be THE best plagiarism tool EVER!

    I'm gonna have to be careful with that one.

    The hybrid maps mode is very good. I cna see that being the future of GPS, as portable memory sizes increase.

    Jeez, I remember back in the day when google was just a search engine

    I guess its like a mobile, they used to make calls, now they do everything but

    Its progress, its a good thing, it they were worth so many billion just as a search engine, I darnt see what will happen to their share prices in the next few years after all the shizzle there nizzling right now takes off

    Yeah, scholar has been around for donkey's years.

    I used it a fair bit at Uni (never actually found it to be particularly useful...perhaps I just used poor searching syntax?), but I'd advise anyone thinking of using it for plagiarism to think again. Apart from the fact it's just not good practice, it's pretty much the first place your lecturers will look if they think something is fishy about your work
