I thought microsoft had put the prices so high as to ensure a good movie would be made or no movie at all.

I can't see anyone playing the master chief or Cortana other then the current voice actors.

I'm interested to see the CGI used, the storyline will probably be rather poor tho. As for Halo games being complete rubbish. Erm well millions of people don't agree with you there...

the storyline will probably be rather poor tho.

It could be a great movie if they base it on the books. Not exactly great literature, but they do make a good read if you go through all 3 books back to back.

I was under the assumption the Halo idea had been ripped from Ian M Banks... he's the first author I've come across that uses that idea...

EDIT: With Bungie being creative consultants perhaps they'll make half a film, then once it hits the middle, they just rewind it for the last half... a bit like Halo..

I thought Resident Evil and FF films were brilliant tbh,

But to be fair, the Rock is an action movie star, and I think you'll find he measures up pretty well to Stallone/Schwarzeneggeggegger/Van Damme etc, personally I like a couple of the films he's done (in a give my brain a rest kind of way).
