I ended up getting another twin pack of Corsair 2 x 512Mb sticks.

So I have 4 x 512Mb identicle Corsair memory sticks with silver heat spreaders.

BF2 definitely plays better with 2Gb rather than 1Gb

i would say the same, if i hasnt sen tests from indpendent companies. (ie. people that dont conveniently sell 2gb ram)

i suppose ill get 2gb eventually, but as i dont play BF2 iw ould much rather spend the upgrade money on a new gfx card and see a much largr performance increase..

Yeap - I have 2 Gigs of the Xpert range in 512 Mb sticks PC3200XL and these run fine at 3200, timings of 2-2-2-5 (2t) when running the 4 sticks

I was tempted to get another 2 sticks, but with Rev 2 being non TCCD didn't wanna risk it. Plus below high FSB's its better to get Mushkin Redline or something (and I didn't wanna buy 4sticks ).

So I'm going for 2 x 1gb sticks of GSkillz PC4000 from the states from a mate for £150inc shipping. Not bad eh?

I personally think its better to get good value 1GB of RAM. There is no real need more for than this at the moment unless you do rendering.
