Dawn of War Patch 1.4 out tomorrow.

On Thursday 8th September Patch 1.4 will launch and be available for download.

The patch will be accessible by launching Dawn of War and logging in to the online section of the game (from the main menu, select Multiplayer, then Online).

As usual, shortly after the patch has been released the Ladder Stats will be reset to allow players to once again build up their rank and take their places in the top 10 under these new balance conditions.

Nick - you should do a map creation for DoW as well using the tools found on various websites.

I've made a few as we're sick of having 8 Man LAN's at mine on the normal maps now

Well, at least chaos got the nerf they deserved. But what the hell are they doing with dreadnoughts? They're already plenty powerful enough, I can't believe they're actually stupid enough to make them cheaper/faster.

I think 1.4 is make or break for me - I've been playing the game since beta but if THQ continue to ignore changes required for SMs just because a lot of people play them, I have better ways to spend my time. Just because a majority of players favour one race doesn't mean the game developer should do the same; it's leading to a lot of very dull, repetitive games with a total lack of creative tactics or thought required.

Yeah, it's a shame the developers seem to have a vendetta against them.

Yes, it was nasty when we first had the Seer Council bug. But it's been fixed, things were quite balanced before they started buffing chaos and SMs again. I wish they'd just leave it alone.

Had my first game of DOW in months last night, set up a Lan with my house m8, and did co-op against the computer. took me a while to get to grips with again, but wow, forgot how much fun it is
