We covered this in a Press Release a while back, but it’s high time we had some screens to go with it… so here’s some screens to go with it…

That's from the original press release. I'm guessing holiday 2005 now means christmas, or has it been delayed at all?February 14, 2005
Video Game Based on The Matrix Trilogy Scheduled for Holiday 2005 Release on PS2, Xbox and PC
I think I'll be giving this one a go, but I think some of the characters in the screenshot don't fit in with the background, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure why, it just doesn't seem right.
EDIT - Release date is 7th November for consoles and 15th November for PC.
Holiday 2005 means Christmas 2005 in non-american![]()

Looks OK, Enter The Matrix looked good but was amazingly boring after the first few levels.
Looks like 3DMark01
Anywhooo, might be good... Did the online version not take off too well then?
yeh the last i heard of matrixnline was from a mate who was beta testing
i would have thought matrix online would have taken off quite well

Yes, Enter the Matrix was an ambitious and flawed effort to tie the films together... Just like the Animatrix series, Enter the Matrix was supposed to fill in some background detail of events between Reloaded and Revolutions... and it succeeded and failed in equal measure, imho.
Path of Neo is the game they should have made in the first place, one where you just take the part of Neo and follow the films' storyline... according to the bumf, you should be able to take a different route through the storyline, but without wishing to sound doubtful, I'll reserve judgement on that until I see how it works.
If they pull it off it should be an awesome game. I had Enter the Matrix and completed it but the overall feel was a bit of a letdown, not overly polished because they knew people would buy it. Hopefully this will be developed primarily on the PC so we dont get a port from one of the consoles.
Have to say the screen shots look pretty good, hope its not all just a constant run around affair getting into some slo mo martial arts battles on the way.
