When liquid cooling goes wrong...

Get a leak in a watercooling system and things can get ugly...

Well, more the crud left behind, which was soon cleaned up :)

That might be something I look into eventually, it certainly beats having the constant wailing of air-fans, and comes with peace of mind too :)

I've had watercooling leak onto my chipset, graphics card and RAID 5 card. I noticed... it crashed... but after a quick drying session all was OK :)

Sounds like a great product for water cooling. Im still and air boy for now though. Im to paranoid about leaks

God - my advice to anyone thinking of using a fluid based cooling system is to use something that is non-corrossive, non-conducting, non-oxidising and non-galvanising - hence me chickening out of going the whole watercooling hog.

the Madshrimp guy used his brain by using isopropyl alchohol too - tis the best for cleaning any electrical component - I swear by it (that and cotton buds)

garden sprinklers in your computer, i don't think i'll be going to water cooling soon but its good additive, it might have to go down on my "to get when" list :) :p

alcohol, good for cleaning electronics stuff (good for drinking to - don't recommend that cleaning one though)

not as bad as the pictures of what happens when one of those "cigerrete lighters in a drive bay" malfunctions and sets light to ethernol used for liquid cooling in the drive bay resiviour underneath i have seen, heh
