It's looking good in Taiwan, although surely it's not all that surprising?
Buoyed by growing global desktop monitor shipments and seasonal effects, LCD monitor shipments from Taiwan totaled 19.71 million units, up 84% on year and 15% on quarter. In addition, LCD monitors accounted for 76% of all monitors shipped from Taiwan-based companies, up from 76% in the second quarter, according to Taiwan's Market Intelligence Center (MIC).

Due to a rebound in panel prices, the shipment value for LCD monitors reached more than US$4 billion, representing an increase of 18% on year and 5.1% on quarter.
