The Beyond3D boys have been checking out not one, not two, not four, but three (3) new Leadtek GeForce 7800 graphics cards. Here's a snip:
Since the packages are identical one must turn to the relative performances of the tested products and analyse these in comparison to other factors to make a firm conclusion. In terms of raw speed it is quite easy to separate them: GTX Extreme first, then the standard GTX and lastly the GT Extreme. However, the argument is not as simple as this because the actual differences between the boards in our tests was not as large as one would expect. The largest gap was seen in the PS3.0 + HDR tests for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory where the GT Extreme was just under 21% slower than the GTX Extreme at 1600 x 1200 - neither board, though, was producing comfortably acceptable frames at these settings.
