    ASUS produces fastest X1800XT yet

The core of the EAX1800XT Top is clocked at 700MHz, some 75MHz quicker than the stock clock and 50MHz more than the recommended increase we revealed in our .bean. The RAM is also clocked up to 1.6GHz (800MHz GDDR3), up from 1.5GHz.

The words 'money', 'sence', 'than' and 'more' seem to spring to mind for some reason!

Agreed, I think I spotted a typo in the article too, shouldn't it be "wealthiest" gamer?

Doubt it will be more expensive than the 512mb GTX.

I like it. The clocks aren't to shabby, but most normal XT's seem to do that easily.

just letting ATI auto clock do it's thing, it clocks my XT to 689/1600.

Hi Smoke, that is a totally BADASS system you have there.....care to post some thoughts/opinions on the X1800XT in actual use.
You are amongst the first Ive seen with that card running with a nice Dual Core...please let me know what you think of the combination.

I think it's awesome mate, it benchies in 05, a fair bit higher than my GTX, but 03 and 01, are the same.

Real performance is a lot better. Im impressed how it fairs in games. FEAR in very playable at 1600x1200, with max details, it wasn't on the GTX.

AA/AF performance is better. I haven't tryed HDR and AA yet, ill give it a go in Far Cry ASAP.

If the cards come down in price a bit more, i think there awesome, and a better buy than a GTX, seeing as the 512mb GTX is over 500quid, thats a stupid price.

I also just prefer ATI's drivers. It overclocks very well to.
