I brought a crap over expensive bundle for my 360 but end of the day I was just happy to get one. That 'mega' deal is abit stupid tho since as said in the article there isnt actualy that many games yet.

Just ordred console only off of play.com
Not bothered when I get it as long as its somewhen near January![]()
With regards to 'Bundles' I bought a £620 bundle with 8 games knowing (well, thinking) that due to GAME's t+c's*, I could return any games that I decided not to keep. After checking my finances I decided I could afford to keep 2 games and the three accessories as well as the console but would have to return 6 games. I took them back to the shop where the manager point blank refused to accept them and stated that the T+C's on the Game.net website didn't apply to high street stores ( which head office later denied) and that you can't return anything thats part of a bundle. I spoke to a Customer service representative at GAME HQ who sounded very apologetic but had been told from her manager that the terms and conditions don't apply to 360 equipment. erm, now is it just me but does that not make having terms and conditions absolutely pointless?
I would appreciate any advice on this matter because I think I've been treated atrociously and if GAME arn't going to honour their t+c's then they should be held accountable for it.
* t+c's specifically state that parts of bundles can be returned but you lose any discount you may have been given
Cheers Danny
Two words mate: Trading Standards
Contact them and they'll get on the case for you![]()
Double-check the wording of the terms and conditions. Complain to trading standards regardless of what the T & Cs say. Thirdly camp out at your local Game until they give in. Preferrably making comments about how much better Gamestation is.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be nearly as big a market for games on ebay otherwise you could sell them for a nice profit.
You should probably ignore my idea of camping out at Game - I think having to wait there for even 20 minutes would probably drive you mad.
Just go back to the store and if they say they can't do it, ask to see their stores terms and conditions.
well, after threats of trading standards and watchdog I managed to return the games to another branch. So i guess all's well that ends well. I really think that GAME need to keep a tighter reign on their managers - if they're allowed to pick and choose when they want to honour their own t+c's there's a serious problem. Cheers though![]()

I was going to get one from game after xmas, but seeing that they just want to con people out of money I will go down the road to gamestation, where the guy was far more friendly and said you can buy the console with anything you wish or dont wish. Not to mention preordering for a £20 deposit. Not taking the full amount like certain companies .

Might be worth game actually speaking to their managers that don't seem to want to follow company policy and not make customers jump through hoops!
Ah well they alwasy have shop fronts...cant stop you standing out side with banners, fliers telling no one to go in there. Pavements are public places![]()
Also go in and buy stuff....walk out, and come back in 2 minutes later and ask for a refund.
Bascially annoy them until they give in*
*note: this probably isnt a particularly good idea, but might be funny

It was the Middlesbrough store that refused to honour the t+c's. The manager was awful. I returned the games to Stockton. The whole debacle is listed on AVForums here http://www.avforums.com/forums/showt...=272902&page=5
