Unlucky Aussies will now find that they are unable to download Kazaa, following the passing of a deadline to implement copyright filters on the popular P2P network.[SMH]Sharman Networks, owner of the network, argued that by making the site inaccessible to Australian users it was complying appropriately with the court orders pending the outcome of the appeal.
"The Australian record companies have achieved their aim to stop the further distribution of Kazaa in Australia until an appeal court decides whether these orders should stand or not," a Sharman Networks spokeswoman said.
