    Self destructing text messages

This message will self destruct in 40 seconds. Life as a spy can be tough enough without having to worry about leaving a trail. Luckily, Staellium UK has setup a StealthText service, messages from which self-delete approximately 40 seconds after being opened.
Staellium said it has already had interest from financial services companies, the Ministry of Defence and celebrity agents.

"The ability to send a self-destruct message has massive benefits for people from all walks of life, from everyday mobile users, through to celebrities and business people, but this is just the start," said Staellium CEO Carole Barnum said in a statement.

It uses WAP, and works on T-Mobile, Orange, Vodaphone and O2, but not 3.

May also be bad in the fact you could verbally (well, through texts) abuse someone, and they'd not have any evidence because it would have deleted itself?

erm dosen't seam that impressive to me, but at least if their using WAP you might not have 160char limit, and maybe some encryption too!

But seriously no one should be sending sensative information over a public network in cleartxt anyway! Also i've 800+ txts stored in my phone memory, which isn't even aproaching 10% used, i think its useful to archive stuff, never know when u might want to know something or prove something.

So it's just a text message containing a link to a WAP page with the message on, which gets deleted after a set time? Big deal.
