    Patch released for 'extremely critical' IE flaw

    It's not every day that Secunia rates a vulnerability as 'extremely critical', but last month they raised a security issue with Internet Explorer up to it. Fortunately, Microsoft yesterday released a patch in their monthly batch of Windows Updates.

    So, if you run Windows and there's any chance of IE being run, head over to Windows Update and sort it out!
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    WU and MU only work with IE, but IE doesn't have to be your default browser.

    Not true anymore.

    You can now update through firefox as well.

    Alternatively, if you don't use IE, you don't need the patch to fix it

    The only thing available I can find is:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/extension...cation=firefox

    Never heard of this plugin the article mentions...

    That is such awful advice. You should patch it anyway due to the integration of IE components within windows.

    The plugin is available from microsoft when you connect to the windows site, the same way the plugin for IE is.

    Then better advice would be don't take anything followed by a sarcastic wink as real advice
