Now there is a qualiy bit of quality control.

But surely if it's to dark on a normal TV, it will be even worse on a LCD?

Nope. It seems the developers only used HD screens during the games development, but didn't think to check it on a normal TV

I played Kong on an HD TV and I found it incredibly dark and had no idea where I was going.

To tell you the truth, i thought i was playing a 2 year old PC game anyway. Graphically, at least what you could see, the graphics are very underwhelming.
