rediculous honestly - just damages our competitiveness with the world market and companies will come to rely on the tariff - so if it is removed they go bust anyway...

This is gonna bump up the price on the dell 30 inch tft i was planning to buy next spring.... damn, they did the same thing and slapped a tax duty on dvi input tft's a while back thats why vga tft's were cheaper than the dvi equivalent. When does the price rise come into force?
