holy s**t. Me want! Me Want!
Looks nice...but who on earth really needs it? :undecided
Looks good.
150Gb, 16Mb Cache, 10k rpm, windowed. The only thing missing is SATA2.
Does it use NCQ rarther than the old TCQ that the old Raptors used?
The only 'problem' is its noise.
Yes, as far as I know, it is capable of using NCQ.
It is indeed NCQ friendly :)
I don't see the point in thisd unless you have a lot of money and want a lot of bling ;)
There isn't a drive on the planet with SATA2 because the thing doesn't exist. Indeed SATA at 3Gbps would have been nice, but not really necessary yet.Quote:

Yeah sorry meant SATA 3gbps - it is a VERY expensive drive so I believe it should have that :)
Actually, the official SATA 2 spec calls for either Hot-Swapping or NCQ or 3.0gbps transfer rates. Any one of those and the drive can be called SATA2.Quote:

It's not false advertising, it's just PR. They call it that because it sounds cool.Quote:

What do you think it will cost here?
£250 & £200 I reckon, to start off.

And sometimes they like to mod computers too?
How long from experience do you think it will take for the price to settle? cos I want 2 of these babys inside my shuttle.Quote:

I doubt their price is going to see any dramatic drop for a while to be honest. I'd wait until a month after they become available here before getting one just to see what happens though.
