If this was a game of chess we figure it would turn into Chinese Chequers in the wink of an eye. The timing of Intel’s Duo Cora and Apple’s Intel miracle is no coincidence, we’re certain of that.
A fly on the wall at the secret meetings between Paul Otellini and Steven Jobs could no doubt have much to tell about the liquid gold the two CEOs exchanged. But then both Jobs and Otellini have always been expert marketeers, so they obviously understand four way or dual core fourway chess better than most.
The fact Apple has come out so fast with the Yonah won’t be any surprise to readers of the INQ, to Dell, nor to AMD. But it does make the likelihood of Dell adopting AMD chips far more likely, we’d suggest.
