    Pigs that glow

    No, they're not the aftermath of a nuclear disaster, but rather the result of genetic experiment in which the genetic material of jellyfish was added to pig embryos.
    Scientists in Taiwan say they have bred three pigs that glow in the dark.

    They claim that while other researchers have bred partly fluorescent pigs, theirs are the only pigs in the world which are green through and through
    [BBC News]

    Personally, I like my bacon and cheese wraps non-fluorescent.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Funny in a sense. I'm also watching a programme on TV now though about animal testing... made me think, was it really necessary? .

    Not starting anything off here, I'm all for it as much as I am against it.

    These guys are way too slow, TBH. Someone else did the same thing with mice about five years ago.

    Check here --> http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/590919.stm

    (Take a look at the picture about halfway down, and the scientific equation printed underneath it: Jellyfish + Mouse = Glow-in-the-dark Baby. WTF??)

    I think the mouse didn't really glow in the dark, was just UV active or something, a bio-technition was trying to explain it to me.
