No, it's not 1 April any more...
Targeting the generation who definitely can't afford a £12,500 TV. Good job Samsung.
So basically they've added a rotating mount and made it support vertical and portrait displays... all for an extra 8 grand (being generous)... I'm in the wrong business lol
Most places report the Sero as costing 1.9 million won, which is £1,250, not £12,500.
Speaking as a millenial, FFS don't encourage people to take vertical video! When I take power my first edict will be for all video cameras and video camera apps to refuse to record if you aren't holding them in the correct (horizontal,) orientation.
Thanks, yes it looks like the price is about £1,200. For example Variety has recently updated its story with a new, 10x lower price.
If this were like the Surface doohickey that's a touchscreen on an easel I'd get it.
But like, which damn millennials were they speaking to? There are two tyoes, the ones that drool into the carpet and screamflail when poked with a stick (you get em every generation) and the ones are just like everyone else.
And I'm pretty confident the vast majority of people consume content in landscape on a big screen and vertical for reading on a small screen...
what a terrible idea, marketed as shop displays that would perhaps be ok but not for kids to watch selfie videos.
Burn it with fire!
Then burn it again!
So its true, the "millennial generation" have a narrow view of the world. Great job "millennial generation" on taking us backwards and becoming narrow minded thinkers
Don't tar us all with the same brush.
This is likely some "set in their ways superiority complext Baby Boomer" or "over endearing know it all Gen X type" who thinks they know what Millenials want, did a tiny survey that had one option that said "would you be interested in a vertical display?". Then when the answers came back, they went look look the millenials do want one! Except there was no context of content or consumption, just a badly designed feature fulfilment request based off bad data.
See, it's not nice to be lumped in with a trash label, is it?
