OK - where do I get one...?
To second schmunk... there's no link to a supplier! Also, is this available as a case mod kit, or is it only that case?
Hi guys, it's built into the APlus case and I've updated the article to reflect that.
SCAN have stock of one of Aplus' other cases, so I'm guessing them and probably a number of others will stock the case at some point.
I'm checking into that for you ... just waiting for a response back
/me doesn't want a case, just the fan
Here's a review
It gives a different name, but it's clearly the same case. The fan blows air in, and doesn't seem to be overly impressive. I would have thought that using it as an extractor would be better...

The answer - no eta, but coming shortly.
Erm, finger guard?
looks a beast, would be good to see how much it improves cooling and of course noise. If its as good as it looks Scan will be expecting an order
I'm sure the fan is removable, in which case you could turn it around so it extracts instead :-).Originally Posted by schmunk

Problem with making it extract would be the pressure, so unless you had a large hole/fan blowing in somewhere, you'd have air (and especially dust) getting dragged in the through the optical drives etc. If it is 100CFM, 650rpm must be slower than I thought, some 120mm fans do 110+CFM.
Synergy6
hmm i might buy one of those cases when it comes out... come to think about it ... i may take a trip to the pet store to buy a cat at the same time
If you look closely at our pics, you'll see there is a safety mesh on the outside.Originally Posted by Mike Fishcake
After visiting the review link above, it looks to me that, as well as the mesh guard on the outside, the rear of the fan is kept away from prying fingers by being enclosed in a clear plastic case with vents in it.
I was pretty sure that I'd find something of the sort because it strikes me as highly unlikely that any reseller in the UK would ever even risk stocking it, if that hadn't been the case.
[Just updated this - I'd thought initially that there was a mesh grill on both sides. BC]

Can't really tell, but I'll take your word for it, seeing as you have no reason to lie, and like you said, a lot of resellers wouldn't risk selling it. Well, ok, you said "any", but I can think of a few that probably couldn't care ;-)Originally Posted by Bob Crabtree
