    Motherboard mystery

    I like close-up pictures of motherboards. Look at them hard enough and you can learn all sorta about the features and characteristics of the board, if not the actual model. Let's start with the bundle, however:

    Checking out the backplane is pretty useful too...

    Still, near the southbridge is often where most of the clues are at...

    See if you can work out what it is, or let us know what you know about the board and explain why.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    I would have said A8N32 SLI, but it doesnt have heatpipes, so maybe the P5N32-SLI? theyre the only AiLife boards asus have on their site.

    Is that the new RD580 based Asus board by any chance?

    Bah, would have been much more interesting if it had been the new RD580 board from Asus.

    I would have to second the P5WD2-E Premium thought, although last i had checked that wasn't exactly a new motherboard, espically with the ATI RD580 chipset hopefully coming soon, so with that being said, it seems like it is that motherboard, but i question what north and southbridge is on the board

    Sata

    An external SATA Socket... That could be quite usefull. Thought it could be a HDMI interface till I saw the Asus page.

    I like the 'AI NOS' overclocking system described on the product page, with the picture of a bottle of NOS to confirm that yes, they are making that allusion...
